My new adventure.

Let me start by telling you a little about myself. My name is Mandy and I am currently 30 years old and living in Maryland. I am married to an amazing man named Josh for the pass 7 years. We meet during my senior year of high school and been together ever since.
After buying our house about  6 months after getting married we decided to start trying to have a baby. Little did we know that it would lead to a journey neither one of were prepared for. After a few months of trying and nothing happening I went to see my doctor. We found I that I had PCOS. We did a few rounds of clomid and still nothing. Then finally I found out I was pregnant. Unfortunately just days after the good news we found out that I was having a miscarriage. It was heart wrenching. I decided that it was time to do something further. I wanted answers. So we went to a fertility specialist. Everything always looked great on paper but I was still not getting pregnant. I had surgery to look around inside to see what was going on. I had some endometriosis and the doctor took care of that. We did IUI after IUI still nothing. We were told our best bet would be IVF. At the time our insurance did not cover it. So we waited and tired on our own. We got another positive test at one point but it was also short lived. Then we got news that our insurance would cover $10,000 toward infertility treatment. So we switch up doctors and did a few more IUI's and nothing. We still needed to save more for IVF. Then we got the news our IVF would be covered!!! Our insurance updated there policy and we just had to pay $1200 deductible!  We jumped at the chance. So a month of needles and being poked and prodded. We had 27 eggs retrieved 19 fertilized and 9 made it to day 5. One lil embryo would be put back and 8 froze. That one lil embryo is now a 20lb 7 month old. Yes it worked. My pregnancy wasnt easy. I was nervous it was all going to fall out from under me. After 6 years of trying and 2 miscarriages. We were finally pregnant. Noah Carter came into this world on 1/30/13. I wouldnt change our journey for anything. I have became a faithful Christian through this. Even though my journey tested my faith at times. I never gave up. The Lord new his perfect timing. I am now a stay at home mom of an awesome baby boy!!!
